Hello, my name is Victoria and Performing Arts Compliance Solutions was borne from a desire to help busy people spend more time on their activities and less time on paperwork.
When I was growing up, everyone knew that I wanted to be a dance teacher - specifically ballet. I worked hard and had a very dedicated teacher in Miss Julie Noble at the Julie Noble School of Performing Arts. She gave me opportunities to teach alongside her in classes, encouraged me to developed my skills, and pushed me to work hard and aim high.
Sadly, it was not meant to be. 32 years ago (at the tender age of 18) I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, had to stop dancing and all my hopes came crashing down.
Not one to give up, encouraged by Julie, I pursued a career as a primary school teacher. I had my first experiences of risk assessments, policies and managing large groups of children and their parents. Julie and I stayed closely in touch and she's one of my closest friends.
I stopped teaching in schools not long after the birth of my daughter, and instead became much more involved in the administration side of Julie's dance school business. To my lasting delight I found that I could easily assess risks, write policies and many other aspects that I was able to use my previous experience for.
The time has come to expand my business, and I'm delighted to offer help and support with the increasing amounts of paperwork that is required by the performing arts industry.
